"Hey, Chayse right?" Nathaniel smiled, as he stopped in front of Chayse and Asher.
Chasye smiling back, breathing oddly as if she had held her breath as he approached her, "Yeah, it's Chasye"
She hadn't notice how brown his eyes were now that she was staring at them.
Asher coughed, interrupting the short lived moment, "I'm Asher" He stuck out his hand.
"Okay. I'm Nathaniel" He shook Asher's hand, smirking.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Chasye best guy friend" Asher smirked back putting emphasis on "best".
"That's extremely cool"
"Yeah, it is"
Chasye glared at Asher before returning her attention to Nathaniel, smiling.
"You didn't tell me you go to this school" Nataniel said.
"Well, we never really talked, you know"
"True, true but still it was such a bore talking to Principal Mundane, really"
"She is such an annoying teacher" Chayse laughed this time, her hazel eyes squinting in the bright sun, her white teeth perfect in every way.
Asher interrupted again, "I think we better get going Chasye, we'll be late for homeroom"
"Yeah, we should get going. I'll see you around Nathaniel! If you need anything I'm right here, in the hallways, somewhere"
Asher pulled Chayse along as she struggled to gather her stuff into her bag, "C'mon Chayse more walking, less ramblings"
Chayse finally got herself together, and waved goodbye to Nathaniel as she disappeared into the crowd of students.
Nathaniel stood there, frowning, but then shrugged off and putting his DJ headphones on his ears.
He of course walked through class late, as his headphones were blasting with music.
"You're late, Mr. Kotor" Ms. Farlee said, with a monotone voice as she flipped through test papers as the class silently waited.
Removing the headphones from his ears, he smirked as he sat in a seat in the back of the classroom.
"So much for first impressions, I guess"
"So much for it, Kotor, so much" The teacher looked up her eyes dreary and her voice dropping even lower.
Chayse was seated next time, as she played with a paper clip trying to craft it into something.
Asher, proudly seated next to her sneered, "What is he doing in this class?"
Chayse looked up and shrugged, "Maybe he's really good at English, it is after all AP English"
"He doesn't look like the type to read"
"Neither do you. You look like the type to down half a bottle of steroids and stare at Playboy magazine while doing weight training"
"That's not even close to funny"
"To you it isn't, but to me it is" Chayse sneered, smiling at him.
Asher shook his head, can't helping but breaking out into a smile when she does.
"Hey, you're in AP English?" Nathaniel noticed Chayse sitting besides him.
"Yeah, just gotta love literature" Chayse threw her fists jokingly, as she smiled.
"That is very cool, what's your favorite book?"
"Too much to name"
"Same here"
Asher glared, before giving his best smile, "My favorite book is Romeo & Juliet"
Nathaniel looked at him, slightly titling his head and nodding approvingly , "Nice, very nice"
Shortly after the bell rang, and it was a free period.
Chayse purposely took longer to pack up, waiting to talk to Nathaniel.
As she saw Asher left the classroom, she turn her attention to Nathaniel.
'Sorry about the whole Asher thing" Chayse apologized.
Surprised Nathaniel looked up, "It's alright, I think he likes you though. More than a friend"
"Please, Asher and I have been friends since Kindergarten. We are nothing more than friends"
"Yeah, well, Asher definitely likes you. You should at least give your best guy friend a chance" Nathaniel smirked, as he put his headphones back onto his ears, walking away as he shakes his head sniffling a laugh.
"Ugh" Chayse glared at him, her hands rolling into fists as she stamp out into the hallway just to see Asher standing there waiting.
"He's right you know. I do like you, and you should give me a chance".
Chasye smiling back, breathing oddly as if she had held her breath as he approached her, "Yeah, it's Chasye"
